"For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. " Jn 3:16

Thought for the Month - January 2005

DIVINE AWESOMENESS

Last month we looked at God’s awesomeness as it relates to His Greatness and concluded that He is great in deliverance. This deliverance is personified in the person of Jesus Christ.

God is great in majesty. He is higher than any earthly majesty. He’s majestic in conduct, manner, and this should command our respect of Him. In Hebrew, majesty means - glory, honour, beauty, excellence in form and appearance. God is royally glorious!

The psalmist says “….. The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.” (Psa 29:4) Saints of God, if God’s voice is full of majesty and it is, then we ought to incline our ears to what He’s saying to us; we ought to afford Him the respect He deserves; we ought to give Him our un-divided attention and be doers of what He tells us to do. (Jas 1:22)

At the beginning of this New Year, commit to making God’s word your final authority - let His word regulate, govern your decision making process, why? Because the voice of the LORD is powerful…….. Amen
