| "For God so greatly loved and dearly prized
the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique)
Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies
on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but
have eternal (everlasting) life. " Jn 3:16 |
Thought for the Month - February 2005
DIVINE AWESOMENESS
Last month we looked at God’s awesomeness as it relates to His Majesty and concluded that this majestic God should command our respect. We ought to give Him our un-divided attention and be doers of His word.
God is eternal. The word eternal by definition means without beginning or end; that which has existed and always will exist. Christians, the God we love, worship and serve is by nature eternal. He is eternal in glory and majesty. He is eternal in power, kingship and ruler ship hence His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom.
By contrast, the devil’s ruler ship is temporary, transient and terminal.
“Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God
who alone is wise, be honour and glory forever and ever. Amen”
(1 Tim 1:17) this eternal King is coming back very
soon - recent events of catastrophic proportion points to
His soon second advent. Are you ready? When He comes what
will He find you doing? Where will He find you, at the centre
of His will or yours?
